Hello everyone! I reside in Broussard, Louisiana and scheduled for my bypass on December 22, 2005! I have been visiting this site quite often but didnt want to post anything until I had a date scheduled. I had intentions on having the surgery in April or May. But, my insurance company responded within a month and here I am! It also helps that I have met my deductible for the year! Also, I am a teacher, and hope to be back at work on Jan. 4th when everyone else returns. That will also save me a week or two of being out of work. The way things worked out, I just felt it was meant to be! I welcome all suggestions, comments, etc! Thanks in advance, Tiffany

Hi Tiffany, I just want to welcome you and wish you the best on the 22nd. Sounds like this was meant to be with your insurance and everything moving so well. I am just one week post-op and it has been so awesome. I had a very easy time my biggest problem to date is being so worn out, but that is to be expected. I feel so good then I overdo and pay the price with being tired. You can go to my profile I have written some of my experience with the surgery and all. My biggest advice, stay positive!!! I really think that helps with the outcome. Walk, walk, walk. Take chapstick to the hospital along with some personal hygiene things. I had packed jammies, and a robe and never wore any of them, they never came out of my bag. Do take your slippers so you can walk, walk, walk. The hospital gown was big enough for me and thick enough so I just wore that the entire time. Made it easier with the IV connections and all. If you have any questions feel free to email me. Take care and stay positive. JC

good news tiffany! hope everything goes well with your surgery and recovery. This is the best thing i could have done for myself and family. I'm very happy. I don't miss the food one bit, kinda of weird but loving it. I always said i just wanted to feel full after eating, now i do. The only problem i have is, i hate to exercise. But hopefully soon i will continue to walk, (i have a treadmill) let us know if you need anything, we are here for you. ( hope my spelling is correct). Rhonda 293/255/125
