My response yesterday about paying cash was an answer to a question posted by Ashley Fox. I answered it under her response and did not expect for it to pop up like it did. I'm sorry if my responce seemed to hit a sore spot yesterday. Like I said, I expected my answer to pop up under Ashley Fox's question. I am very fortunate that my husband and I were able to pay for my surgery, otherwise I would not have been able to ever have the surgery. I am a teacher and State of Louisiana insurance has a clause that excludes any type of bariatric procedures. Keep fighting, I've read tons of profiles on here where people were denied several times and then got approval. Again I apologize and wish you the best of luck with your fight with the insurance company.

It's ok Jenifer I'm just a bit touchy lately... but today I got my hope back... I found out last night this SAME insurance company actually denied my father's first application for his KIDNEY TRANSPLANT!!
HOW they justify that one, I don't know... but after appealing and fighting them... my dad is now almost 4 years postop from his transplant
Anyway, I will be appealing and probably with an attorney And for me, cash pay could only be an option if I can get my family or my in laws to help co-sign a loan
