Damn insurance companies

Do NOT give up. This is really annoying to me the fact that they know you need it. It will keep your future medical costs down and then they deny it. I will say this a TON of nurses at St Tammany Parish Hospital have had the surgery. So that may be an option you are definitely in my prayers that they will overturn their lousy decision!
