I paid cash.....

I paid cash for my surgery just 8 weeks ago. The cost total for the doctor's fee and the hopital and anesthesia was exactly 22,000. My doctor was Gearge Merriman in Shreveport. I had a rny gastric bypass. Jenifer Francis

That's wonderful... I am thrilled for you Unfortunately, cash pay is not an option for me. I have lost everything I had in the storms, and have terrible credit so I could not get a loan. Many of those posting lately that they cannot get the surgery are also Medicaid patients... you don't get medicaid if you can afford to cash pay a surgery like this. So for many of us now, there just isn't any hope left. I do wish you great luck and sucess with your own surgery though
