HAS ANYONE PD CASH FOR SURGERY?

I AM WRITTING B/C OF LOOKING INTO GETTING GASTRIC BYPASS FOR SEVERAL YEARS, THEN FINALLY FINDING A DOCTOR AND BEING SO CLOSE TO GETTING IT DONE AND THEN THE HURRICANE COMING AND LITERALLY MESSING EVERYTHING UP, AND NOW ME NOT BEING ABLE TO FIND A DOCTOR WHO TAKES MEDICAID , BOTH HERE AND IN TEXAS... MY MOM HAS OFFERED TO TAKE OUT A LOAN AND PAY FOR THE SURGERY FOR ME, SHE SAYS I HAVE SUFFERED ENOUGH AND SHE DOESNT WANT ME TO SUFFER ENOUGH , SHE THINKS I HAVE BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH AND JUST WANTS TO SEE ME HAPPY,, THANK YOU GOD FOR GIVING ME THE MOST CARING LOVING AMAZING PARENTS IN THE WORLD!!!! SO I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE PAID CASH FOR THE SURGERY BOTH LAP BAND AND GASTRIC BYPASS AND EXACTLY HOW MUCH IT COST OR WHO THEY WENT WITH?? www.whyweight.com I think self-pay RNY is 18,900. Check it out. I used Dr. Lavin. He is a national proctor. I think he is one of the best and I wouldn't have let anyone else touch me. I live in Houston since the storm now too. I've heard good things about Scarborough and his partner in Houston. You should post this on the TX board b/c they are a pretty active group and they will know the Houston doctors if you want to do it here. Best, Vanessa

Thanks soooooooo much,, Yes Dr. Lavin was the first seminor I ever went to , and I have loved him since day one,, I honestly believe he is one of the best in the nation,,,, Also I know he trained under the best and has a TON of experience ,, plus thats a great cash price ,, When I went to his seminor 3 years ago , he wanted 27,500,,, so thats awesome,, its amazing how much everyone has gone down in price for this..
