Any support groups/Groups in Baton Rouge?

I am in the Baton Rouge area and wondering about the support groups or any kind of groups in this area. I know every doctor has their own for their patients , but I was wondering if there are any that are open to anyone to go to.. Also I was wondering if there are any kind of workout groups in the area.. I can't seem to get my fat azz up and workout alone and wanted to see if anyone wanted to come along,, my apt complex has a full workout center , or I could join a gym,, or I was thinking of jazzercise, < hey it looks fun!> ,, let me know , I would love to get to know some people in the area!! Hiya Ashley, we do have a couple of groups here, including our own Obesity Help Louisiana (OHLA relocated since Katrina). Our meetings are the first Saturday of each month... but this month we're doing two... since we're all headed to the Houston, TX event next weekend! Email me if you want more information Kat

Hi Ashley, I use to attend to the support groups held at NeWeigh in B.R. on Perkins Blvd. (if I remember right), but it became too costly for me to travel back and forth from Morgan City. The group their is awesome! Maybe you can check with them on Monday. If you need the number, let me know and I can look it up for you. I can relate to getting up off your butt and exercise. I too am looking for someone local (in Morgan City) to get the buddy system going. I need this discipline really bad!!! In the mean time I am checking into Curves to see what their membership is.
