Help for Medicaid Patients

Mona, Ashley and everyone else, THERE IS HOPE. \0/ First, I'm so sorry it took me so long to find the answer, but one is in hand. Dr. Martin has moved his operations to Vista Surgical Center in Baton Rouge and both Vista and Dr. Martin ARE ACCEPTING MEDICAID PATIENTS!! I spoke to my surgeron's office earlier in the day and they directed me to Vista because Dr. Martin is performing surgery there. I have spoken to Vista and confirmed that Dr. Martin is perform wls there and Medicaid patients are welcome. My surgeon gave me Dr. Martin's name and that's carries a lot of weight (duh! choice of words) with me because I feel SupaDoc Karl LeBlanc "walks on surgical water" and he's equally compassionate. Dr. LeBlanc and his partner DashingDoc Mark Hausmann saw displaced patients and those who had displaced doctors right after the hurricanes. Trust me, where there's a will, there's a way! Everybody: Let's get the word out to patients using Medicaid and dedicate ourselves to helping them as they get on a new road to wellness. I will offer help with housing for anyone who needs to travel to Baton Rouge for tests and surgery. I did this when SueElla was going back and forth to New Orleans and I've gained a life-long friend and support beyond compare. I have a guest room that will be dedicated to OH members having surgery, but both I and Vista can help folks get hotel accommodations close to the hospital. I know the NooMee and OHLa members in Metro New Orleans and Baton Rouge will help with Angel support and working with families who may need to visit our area. Ok, troops, let's get this done. Onward! Well I have confirmed today that Dr. Richardson does not accept medicaid for his surgical procedure. I am sorry for any confusion. I have heard good things about Dr. Louis Martin, and Vista!! Congrats to the new hopeful losers! He is fairly highly regarded by area nurses and that's always a plus! Kat

SHHHHHHHHHHHH,, DONT TELL ANYONE UNTIL I GET MY SURGERY!!!! I DONT WANT TO BE ON A WAITING LIST FOR ANOTHER YEAR , I CANT TAKE THAT.. KIDDING I WISH EVERYONE THE BEST OF LUCK , AND IF YOU ARE HAVING AS MUCH PAIN AS I AM EMONTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY THEN BY ALL MEANS YOU DESERVE IT AS MUCH AS ME!!! I am so Disappointed, I thought a door had finally opened for me but as soon as it was opened it slammed back shut. I called Vista and they told me they DO NOT take Medicaid alone. You have to have another form of insurance..like Medicare/Medicaid. I only have Medicaid If Anyone out there can give me any help in finding someone that takes just Medicaid Please let me know....Thank You and God Bless All f You.........Sherry
