it's been awhile

well it has been awhile since i have posted last. found out that my surgeon doesn't accept medicaid, after i was told that as soon as i got my medicaid card to bring it in and i would be scheduled for surgery... but come to find out the medical coordinator thought it was medicare... so i do not get on that until may of 2006, so i am back to fighting with the insurance company, which i have almost beaten!!! they are saying that i only have 5 months of supervised diet history, but they arren't looking at the dietician that i saw the month before i started the supervised diet. am waiting for the letter from bcbs to be able to call and get them to look at that as the 6th month. but the good news is that is the only thing holding me back now! i have been so busy lately, i have actually gotten off the computer and started living again. i went to the state fair all day sunday, and i had a blast with my family. i also got very sunburned. but thank god for the person that told me about preperation h for sunburns. i would have never thought that would help. but i guess if it takes the burning out of your bottom it would only make sense that it does take the burning out of a sunburn. so i put it on as soon as i found out i was sunburned, and even though my oldest son went around laughing at me and saying my mom has hemmie cream on her face, i had to laugh with him, but it sure did make a difference. i have officially started my christmas shopping also, man where has this year gone? i hope this post finds everyone in good health and spirits. i will post again soon, i promise!!! lori

Lori, I am so sorry that you are having some hold ups, but the hopes are still there and the fight isnt over until its over. Hang in there. You can do it. I noticed you hadnt been on computer much. Good Morning Lori!! It's so nice to see you I am really sorry to hear about the the crazy red tape you are having to go through and I know it is a pain in the behind, but keep one thing in mind..... All things happen for a reason. For whatever reason this is must be a good one. I know it is hard to keep positive about things falling into place. The first time I tried for the surgery and was denied 2 times, I too never thought it would happen for me. A year passed, I saw another doctor and five weeks later I was a loser. Keep your head held high and continue enjoying your family. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and if there is anything I can do, even if it's just to talk, let me know and I can always call you. Hey Lori, if you want to come down here, Dr. Martin is doing surgeries here and he's at a great hospital... Frances and I can help if you need to stay in the area a few days before/after Hopefully, this will help you get back on track and be my surgery buddy again! I'm wondering how our beautiful little Tx/La diva is doing? Have you heard from her? I would love to keep in touch with her... Let me know Kat

i may just do that, as my father also lives in baton rouge, do you happen to have his number??? i will give them a call and see if they can take my current tests that i have had done. blood work, gallbladder ultrasound etc. i seen kim last night at the bowling alley she really looks like she is doing well! i wasn't able to talk to her as my arthritis is really bad in my knee and all i was able to do last night was sit and watch. not too much walking around for me last night. hope everything is going well for you and you get your date soon hun!!! lori
