Help Please!!

I have finally got on Medicaid and I cant find any Dr that will take it for WLS...Please if anyone knows of someone..Please tell me. I am desperateto find help. Thank You All and God Bless.............Sherry

Hey Sherry, I am in the same boat and probably can't help but there is a doctor in Metarie named Dr. Korndorffer that takes medicaid but he said he wouldn't start doing WLS until maybey february. I don't qualify because my bmi is too high. Best of luck! Mona

hi. i think dr. andrew hargroder takes the medicaid. you can call his office to find out. he is in baton rouge louisiana . 225-685-0386 everyone say so many good things about him.. he has a website also.. it is www.gastricbypasswls.com go check it out.. you actually fill out your paper work online and do your psych eval online.. i believe you will be very impressed.... good luck and god bless

Hi Sherry, I don't know if you called Dr. Hargroder (sp), but he is unfortunately not a Medicaid provider. The good news is that Dr. Martin has moved his operations to Vista in Baton Rouge and he is accepting Medicaid patients.
