Surgery Cost!!!

I just pulled up my insurance to see if the doctors office had filed my claim and almost fell out of the chair. The claim was for 65,000.00 dollars. My jaw hit the floor. I was expecting about 30 to 40. Thank god for insurance. I only had to pay a deductible of 200 dollars so I think I came out to the good. Tina

Whew I thought lap band where suppose to be cheaper? That steep for the band. But I'm sure it was worth it.

I paid cash for my surgery because I'm a teacher and State of Louisiana insurance has a clause that excludes any type of bariatric procedures. My lap rnytotal cost for the doctor's fee and the hospital fee was $22,000. Somebody is getting ripped off! Jenifer Francis

Yeah I think so too and it should be stopped. That is the reason insurance company's are stopping the coverage of it. If they keep doing it then none of them are gonna cover it. It's ridiculous.
