Dee thank you so much.
I was watching my beautiful 8 1/2 month old grand daughter when my daughter was working and she lost her job and 1 car broke down so I dont see her as often. I am having an "Aurora" withdrawal, I am going to go get her today and keep her over night. She is such a happy and good baby also.

I can relate to missing grandkids. I have 2 granddaughters that I am not able to see. One is 3 and the other one will be 3 on the 22nd. My oldest daughter lives here in town and just does not allow me to see Elizabeth. It is very painful. Bethany lives North Ms. and I usually only get to see her once a year when and if we are able to afford the trip there. But I do get to talk to her on the phone. I guess that is why we are as close to Mia, the one we babysit.
Enjoy your day with your little one and give her an extra hug for me

Good morning Denise! The stand still on the weight will pass. I think I'm on one too, but mine is due to the womanly visitor. I was losing one to two pounds a day and wham nothing for this whole week. Hopefully now that it is over I will start losing again. I try to stay away from the scale and only weigh about once a week and that helps. Have a good day!
Tina
Hey Denise,
I went through one of those stand stills around week three and didn't lose any for a week and a half and then finally I weighed one morning and had lost like 6 or 7 pounds. The scale will start moving again real soon. I have been trying to only weigh now about once a week. I just went for my six week check-up with Dr. Merriman, and was hoping to have a lot more food choices added. I was sadly mistaken on that issue. I went from the full liquid diet for four weeks and now I can add saltine crackers, low-fat cheese, low-fat cottage cheese, peanut butter, and some dried cooked beans and peas. This is for the next six weeks. Denise I read that your doctor is Dr. Barnes in Shreveport and I was Just wondering was his post-op diet similar to this one.

Doctor Barnes and Doctor Merriman used to be in practice together, sounds like its about the same diet. I am 3 weeks today and i am allowed all liquid and watery oatmeal, cream of wheat and instant potatos. I can have s/f puddin and protein drinks and cream soups. I know at 6 weeks i get another diet but dont know what it is yet except the girls at the meeting said i get to add taco bell refried beans twice a week and they were excited about that.
How much have you lost?
I took my scales out of house today, I was weighing 4 times a day, addicted.

On my scales I have lost 41, on his scales I've lost 38. His nurse says that's probably about the same since I weigh in the morning with not much on and my appointment with him was very late in the day. I have been very pleased with my weight loss so far. I found another website where I can look to see if I'm averaging enough weight loss for six weeks out and it said that the average female loses around 31 pounds in the first six weeks and by three months the average is around 51. Well, if Dr. Barnes' next menu is the same as Dr. Merriman's then you already know what you have to look forward to. I'm not going to complain, anything new added helps, besides I'm not hungry enough to eat much anyway. My lunch today consisted of 3 saltines and peanut butter on top of each. Isn't it nice not to be starving all the time. I used to just be starving all the time and before I had this surgery I couldn't imagine that it would actually work for me. This has been the very best thing I ever decided to do and I wouldn't change it for anything. How much have you lost so far Denise? Jenifer
