I'm back! home & finally back online!
I got back a week ago from my Run away from Rita jaunt. They finally got the phone back working today. My whacko scales cannot make up its mind whether I am in Onederland or not! I guess I will find out when I get in to see the Dr. I missed my 6 mo checkup and bloodwork for Rita, and will have to schedule an appt soon. But it is great to be back where I can keep up with this site!!
Hi NG,
Glad you are back home. I'm trying to get to Ritaville to help my parents, but my car is not cooperating. If you are floating back and forth to Onederland, I bet you're there. The storms and aftermath was really hard on my progress and admire anyone who stayed on track.
My best to you and you pick up the pieces (and the tree limbs). Please let me know if you need anything.
Missing what's left of my hometown,
Frances
The wrath of Rita interrupted a lot of peoples lives. Glad she is gone. Now just waiting for life to get back to normal. I look out my window and see dead tree limbs everywhere in the neighborhood and long for the green lush leaves again. My banana tree leaves look like shredded cheese waving in the breeze. Fema is coming to visit me this afternoon to go over my damages. Tried to tell them that there really isn't anything left at my house to see but they were welcome to come. I can show them pictures of the damage and show them the water stain on my ceiling from losing shingles on my roof. I can show them the broken picture frame that fell off my wall because the humidity softened the wood glue. I can.... well you get the picture. Our home is fine compared to so many of our neighbors. God blessed us.
Glad you're home and all is well.
