I can't tell you how much everyone's donations have helped! I have received the packages that were sent to me and my family from a few people here and I wanted to thank you all sooo much!!
I have been able to distribute some of the items to families at the shelter near my home, and I am looking forward to bringing more items to the larger shelter in Baton Rouge. I hope to bring back some photos of the recipients if they will allow it so you guys can see who it is you have helped.
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you each for all the prayers, donations, and support you have offered in relief of this terrible ordeal. As a community we have been devastated... to know that we are not alone has made such a difference...

I am only speaking from my perspective sooooooo............
I think it is YOU that should be applauded here You have been a survivor of a storm like no other seen in this country. With family uprooted you have managed to leave them to return to your town and provide much needed nursing care. In ADDITION to this you return on your days off and help others in nearby shelters.
On top of this you graciously allow us a clearly identified opportunity to help where we can and share with others. You then go even farther to think of pictures to show how folks are helping you and others.
I will tell you the same thing I tell folks on this board who give of themselves in ways that go above and beyond what seems humanly possible..... Take time to take care of yourself too. You too are worth some extra TLC and special time.
