I just got back from Slidell....

Tress are down everywhere power is out in most places.The Slidell Surgical Center is still standing...... BUt..... to deep regret Dr Thomas took a fall off his house trying to remove a tree. He was rushed to a heart Hospital in Lacombe. I am not sure which on. I was told he broke his back. Please remember him in your prayers.

I am so sorry about Dr. Thomas. He is in the same group as my surgeon, Dr. Lavin. Please let me know how he is doing. Lynn J., lap RNY 9/29/04

Vickie, I am sorry to here about Dr Thomas. So will your srugery get pushed back or will they refer you to another doctor in the group? Our house has all kind of trees down the fence is down, my car had water in it and the house had 2 feet of water in it. The house has no roof damage to it at all. We are going home for a few days to clean up and hubby and dad are gonna cut the sheetrock up to get the mold from going all the way up. Take Care, Chrissy

Hi Chrissy, I have not heard anything on when or if they would open back up. I found another Doctor to take off where he did. And I have a date. Fortunately I have copies of all my test results, which helped me. I feel really sad for Dr Thomas though. I was going to send him some flowers and a getwell card. But I cant even get through to the hospital he is at. And mail probably isnt being delivered in the area. Are you back home now? I know some parts of Slidell had there power back on. And By the way girl. Hope you had a happy birthday. I was going to call you. I was out of town and did not have anyones number with me. Ohh really. Wow my sister n law works for Dr Thomas. Her husband is my brother, told me about it. Must have been some miss communication. I am so sorry If I gave wrongful info. I will have to check back with my brother. Sorry. Vickie
