Need to know is there alot of fatalities in Houma

was it as bad as Orleans. Thanks so much for the help. and is Houma a big place. the way it looks on the map it is on both sides of water. The worst is going threw our minds.We keep getting her cell phone answering leave a message. so does that mean her phone is ok. so maybe she is and cant get a signal? we have left gosh so many messages. we have her name on the red cross list and we also donated 100.00 to help others too. the red cross ask not to send food or clothes just money... Houma is further west and not as close to the center of the storm... I can't say it's "fine" but it's not as horrific as downtown New Orleans, or the Mississippi coast. cell phone towers are out in MANY MANY spots here... hang in there... I'm sure you'll hear from her.
