TINA WHERE ARE YOU???
Lori
Thanks you so much for your concern. Me and my family are fine we just got power back yesterday and just got the internet today. My town was not hit as hard as other we have our damage but we will be fine. I'm working with my husband to set up a shelter through his work. I won't be around much as I will be doing the cooking for the shelter. And I know it will take alot of time. I will also be getting together supplies as well. So I fine and like I said thank you so much for your concerns. Hope all is well with you and yours.
Lovingly,
Tina
Tina-- Can you please give us the mailing address of your shelter and tell us what members can do to help you in way of food, clothing, money, etc? OH is in the process of trying to act as a communication outlet to find out what bariatric patients may need in your area. If you want to email me directly my address is [email protected]. We are all very concerned about our Louisiana neighbors.

I am not where Tina is, but there is a shelter in Lake Charles that is housing victims from New Orleans. It is the Lake Charles Civic Center on Lakeshore Drive, Lake Charles, La 70601.
If you mark the box ----- Items for Katrina Storm Victims, the post office should be more than happy to drop it off with the Red Cross there.
The addresss for the American Red Cross office in Lake Charles is:
American Red Cross
3512 Kirkman St.
Lake Charles, La 70607
I would mark the outside of the box....... supplies for Katrina Storm Victims.
We have been taking things straight to the civic center because it was announced on tv that items could be dropped off there. So people drive up and drop off and the workers haul things inside as fast as they can. We went at midnight when my daughter got off work, and they were hauling jugs of water inside.
