complications
Well I am six weeks out and I had to go back into the hospital yesterday. I have infected stitches(on the inside above my belly button) and the opening to my intestines had scare tissue forming stopping me from eating. I knew something wasn't right, anytime I put food in my mouth it would come right back up. I finally gave up on eating then I started throwing up drink and finally blood. I told the dr two weeks in that something didn't feel right but they said I was still healing. He may have been right, but when I called to say I was throwing up the blood he was there for me 100%. I actually ate something today and it stayed down and my stomach didn't hurt so hopefully all that is behind me now.
Sometimes I think we are niave about the surgery; I knew it was serious but I still wasn't prepared for all that has gone on.

Sue,
I agree with you. Most of us might 'know' about all the risks involved, but we really don't think that it will happen to us or we don't fully realize what the risks actually do involve. Thank you for sharing your story with everyone so that they can recognize what might occur and what to do. Most of all, be very persistent with your doctor if you feel that something is wrong but you can't nail down just what it is.
I hope that things start looking better for you...
Take care!
Teresa
