I have lab band scheduled...

I have lab band scheduled in october with Dr. Chung and would like to hear from veterans that have been thru the procedure. Please contact me with your experiences. Linda

I had Gastric Bypass with Dr. Chung in December 2004 and have already lost 105% of my excess body weight as of date. I couldn't be happier with my procedure or with my choice of Surgeon.

Hi Linda, I knew a Linda Broussard who was a math teacher in Calcasieu Parish. Howdy, even if you aren't her. I'm from Lake Charles and I've heard wonderful things about Dr. Chung. One of my angelettes, Ella NChanted had her lapbanding there. Ella hangs out on the lap band forum mostly. I'm one year post-op lap band (this week...wooohoo ) I have no regrets or complications. It's not been an easy year because of unrelated health complications and surgeries (5 plus lap band) which have made losing hard and exercising nearly impossible. I do love my lap band and the lifestyle it promotes. It fits me well. I'm a blogger and my entire (yawn, stretch, yawn) lap band journey can be found on my blog in great detail including pictures, sagas and recipes. My surgeon and support group is in Baton Rouge. If you have that weekend free, many of us OHLA, Neweigh and NooMee will be participating in the Baton Rouge Walk from Obesity Sept. 24. I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Chung, and he was in fact my second choice when we did not think we would be able to use Dr. Martin in NO for my husband. Best of luck with your Band .. the DH and I love ours!
