Lake Charles Support Group Meetings

I'm pre-op and want to start attending meetings here in Lake Charles. Can anyone give me the information as to when and where WLS support groups meet? I've heard through the grapevine that there are at least two groups that meet. Thanks and have a great day! Peggy B.

Hi My Little Angelette! Dr. Chung has one I believe it is the second Thursday of every month at Women's and Children's. You can call his office 433-1303. I am not sure when Dr. Shimer's are but, you can try getting in touch with Cajun, he knows the answer to that one! Have a great day! Hugs, Gina

Info from Women & Children's Hospital in Lake Charles: Dr. Chung's support groups are the second Thursday of each month, starting at 6pm. Dr. Chung and his Coordinator, Marcie run the group. Dr. Shimer and/or Dr. Kreitz do not hold a support group. Women and Children's Hospital has another support group on the third Tuesday of each month (I believe), which is run by the Hospital's Bariatric Coordinator, Ellen.
