YAAAAAAY!!!! I finally have APPOINTMENTS!!!

Those of you who have been following my little blurbs, probably know how HARD it's been to even get to this point... I finally have APPOINTMENTS!! I see my PCP on 9/1 (the day my insurance goes into effect) and then I get to see the surgeon on 9/12 and the surgeon's already made an appointment for me to see the dietician on 9/28!! Can you believe it?! Already got everything rolling! WOW!! I'm so glad I called for the appointments NOW instead of waiting... Sept 12 was the earliest the doc had!! Funny part is a friend has an appt with him same day and time!

Congratulations, Nurse Kat! I know you must be thrilled to have the ball rolling. I remember how excited I was when I had my first appointment related to this surgery. (BTW - it was with your surgeon) After that day things really started rolling for me because I knew my insurance didn't cover WLS. Therefore, I didn't have to wait for approval. I've been reading your posts and you sound like a really wonderful woman. I hope to meet you in the future at an OHLA event. In the meantime, I'll pray for a prompt surgery date for you. Congratulations on making it to this point in your WLS journey.

I, too, have all my required appointments scheduled and will have the last one, psych eval., on Sept. 1st. Then, alas, I will have to wait it out for insurnace approval but am praying that a decision will be handed down quickly and in my favor. My prayers are with you in your journey!
