THE ROPES OF GETTING SURGERY ,SUCK!!

WELL I FINALLY FOUND A GOOD, QUALFIED DOCTOR WHO WILL DO THE SURGERY FOR ME!! WHICH I WAS SOO EXCITED ABOUT. BUT SINCE I HAVE MEDICAID I HAVE TO GET ALL THE TEST DONE ON MY OWN AND THEN GIVE IT TO THEM. I AM HAVING A HELL OF A TIME GETTING MY DOCTOR'S TO WRITE THESE LETTER'S AND FILL OUT THE FORMS. MY PCP IS THE KIND OF DOCTOR WHO THINKS EVERYTHING CAN BE DONE THROUGH DIET AND HERBAL MEDS< HE'S CHINESE> AND I NEED HIM TO WRITE ME ALL THESE RECOMDATIONS TO OTHER DOCTORS AND SPECIALIST AND HE DOESNT HAVE THE "TIME" TO DO ALL THIS,, I CALLED TO MAKE A APPT AT HIS OFFICE AND TOLD THEM , SCHEDULE ME IN 2 OR 3 TIME SCHEDULES B/C I NEEDED TO SIT DOWN WITH HIM AND GET SEVERAL THINGS FILLED OUT AND DONE, BUT OF COURSE WHEN I GOT THERE , HE RUSHED ME IN AND OUT AND NOW I AM ON MY 3RD TRIP BACK TO SEE HIM,, I NOW KNOW WHY NEW WEIGH AND PLACES LIKE THAT COST SO MUCH , YOU GET TO SEE THEIR DOCTORS AND THEY MAKE YOUR APPTS,, GOSH I AM BEGINNING TO THINK THIS IS TOO MUCH TROUBLE AND I SHOULD JUST STAY FAT AND IN MY ROOM!!! DID ANYONE ELSE HAVE SO MUCH TROUBLE WHO IS ON MEDICAID ,, AND WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO ABOUT THESE DAMN DOCTORS,, MY PYSCHARIST, I CANT SPELL,, JUST GAVE ME MY RECORDS AND TOLD ME " THAT WOULD HAVE TO BE ENOUGH" THAT HE DIDNT HAVE TIME TO ANSWER ALL THOSE QUESTIONS IN THE PACKET,,, GOSH ,, GIVE ME A PIECE OF HIS DAMN STATIONARY AND ILL WRITE THE FREAKIN LETTER, I TOLD HIM HE CAN CHARGE ME A VISIT GEESH ,,, HELP!!!!!

Ashley, I didn't have Medicaid but did help the doctors by writing the letters I needed then giving them to my PCP (or whatever particular dr involved) to put on there stationary and sign. I've had to do this with the WLS, my PS and I have an austic son that I have to write appeal letters for for services he needs. I'm sort of used to the doctors giving me the bum's rush. I even provide the letter on diskette or CD so they can make changes if necessary. I get my letters back within in the week when I do it this way. I think you can find many different letters here on OH thta you can tailor to your specific situation/medical condition that will work just fine. Rhonda
