Donna, It's hard to say which surgery is best, it's more like which surgery is best FOR YOU. Do lots of research and talk to as many people as you can who have had WLS. WLS is a very personal choice. What's best for your health and your lifestyle and what restrictions are you willing to live with. Go to a seminar or two and listen to the Doctors and the patients. I had the Duodenal Switch procedure in Feb. 2005 with Dr. Warden of Surgical Specialists of La. They have seminars in several locations around the State. Check out their website, it is WhyWeight.com Good luck. Paulette

Good luck on your surgery. But it may be that you should see what your insurance will pay for. Some insurance companies will cover only certain surgeries, others cover more choices.
