:-S I am so frustrated..............

I am so tired of waiting......I already post problems with insurane company. I am just so tired of waiting.....I guess I need to be more patient....anyway new news... I called the insurance company and they are telling me that Riverwest (where I am suppose to have my surgery) is a PPO hospital and a provider.....but Neweigh (who I am going through) is telling me taht they are no longer taking Blue Cross/Blue shield federal...and teh dr.s are working on a place to do it...........how long should I wait? Should I get a new surgeon (how long does that take---I don't want to start process over?)? where do I go from here........gosh I am so confused.... But good news, I will only have to pay about 149.50 out of pocket for surgery! My nerves are shot----sorry--- Tama Thanks to all my supporters

Tama, If I am understanding you correctly: Your INSURANCE company told you the hospital is a provider for your insurance company......... Your SURGEON'S company told you the hospital was no longer a provider for your insurance company.......... You need to call the hospital yourself maybe just to clear up what is going on. That way you will feel more in control of the situation and not so helpless. Get ProActive, girl! If that doesn't clear up the situation...I'm not sure what you should do next besides try to hang in there and let things work themselves out. I know you are probably on edge right now and I would be also. I would be driving everyone crazy by now! Talk about the witch from hell. Hope everything works out for you!

Call Dr. Chung. My daughter is the coordinator there and I talked to her about BCBS Federal. She said that she gets them approved in only 2 days! So, give them a call. You can find out more information about her and Dr. Chung on this website. Her name is Marcie. She is very good at getting approvals. The only bad thing is that they are in Lake Charles, which is about 3 hours away from you, I believe. Good Luck

Woops! Looking over your post, now, I see you are from Lafayette. So....Dr. Chung is only an hour from you, not three hours. Didn't want anyone to think that I didn't know my way around Louisiana!!
