New Hospital in Slidell?

Has anyone heard about the new surgical hospital opening up in mid July? I have done research on it and I don't find anything on it. Dr. Thomas, wants me to go there for my surgery in Aug. I just like to look out for the grand opening. Any personal info I can get on it would be appreciated.

What is the name of the new hospital in Slidell that Dr. Thomas is referring you to? I do know that Surgical Specialists are now doing surgeries at Fairview in Covington and Omega in Metairie (just outside New Orleans) but am not aware of any hospitals in Slidell that they are operating out of. In fact, another OH member is having her surgery with Dr. Lavin on 6/22 at Fairview and she lives in Slidell. But, there may be another hospital in that area that they are going to start doing surgeries at. I have my one year check-up on 7/6 so I will ask about it (I like to stay informed). If I go to this month's support group meeting I'll certainly ask there too. Rhonda

Yes it is called "Slidell Specialty Hospital" they are supposed to be opening in mid July. I was just wondering if anyone new how it was coming along. Yes I know Kelli is having her surgery on the 22.
