i've tried to get support from this site, it seems no one ever writes back, maybe im not emailing correctly. I'm hoping to have the surgery in couple of months . i would like to talk to others about the surgery. if anyone interested , please write... i have email posted... thanx.....

I am new to this site, and I am hoping for support also. Don't know if I will be able to have the surgery. My BMI is between 35 - 40 but I have GERD extremely bad and I am almost 100lbs overweight. I have numerous concerns about my future health (strong family history of diabetes and cardio problems) and would love to get control of my life before health issues are a life or death situation. I will also be dealing with insurance since I have an exclusion, that will not stop me from trying. I can be a little when need be. Good luck JC

I tried to email you several times and it comes back mailer demon, person unknown, fatal error. Here is the reply I wrote to your email to me the other day. Thanks Rhonda, they did go as well as to be expected. Some where painful and some where just tedious. I'm just glad they are over with. I will try to update my journal tomorrow with all the details. Hang in there. The site is a little hard to navigate because they offer so much. Check out all the message boards like the pre-op and see if your surgeon has one. Also, the chat room is pretty active even when there isn't a scheduled activity. I looked at tons of profiles and found support by reading them.

Hi, Rhonda! I am also in need of some good wls email buddies. Any and all are welcome . I am pre-op though, so don't have any first hand experience to pass on about that, but can be supportive and encouraging. And hopefully I have learned a thing or two about requirements for wls and what life should be like after wls.
