question about medicaid
I have a question about Medicaid to anyone out there that can answer this cause they had medicaid for a gastric bypass or knew anyone that had medicaid for the sugery. What does Medicaid ask of you to get approved? For example.....Do they want proof that you been on a diet for 6 months? I am trying to get on medicaid now and want to be ready if I do get it..I have tryed everything else that I can think of. Thank You All For Listening and if anyone can help me out with some information I would really appreciate it..Thank You...God Bless You All

I am currently waiting for Medicaid to approve my surgery. It will be with Dr. Scott at Tulane University. He is from what I hear the only one that takes it. You need a LOT of stuff done but the only thing you can do now is have 3 attempts of nonsurgical weight loss. They must be documented by your doctor. The rest of the stuff you need to get right prior to the approval process, mainly a lot of medical tests and a psych. eval. If you have any more questions feel free to email me privately.
