Scared to Death!!!!!!!!!

Hi! I have started a journal, but I am too nervous to write in it right now. I don't want to talk myself out of it. Thanks for the encouragement. I am using Dr. Merriman. It would be great to see you. I will be at Doctor's Hospital on the 8th. ICU til the 9th. Hugz,' Cherice

It is VERY normal to be scared! This is major surgery! But, the chances of you having complications or dying from this surgery are about the same as any other major surgery. If you had to have "emergency" heart surgery, you would still be scared, but you would do what you needed to do! Same here. You NEED to have this surgery in order to have a normal, healthy life. Try to think of the positive aspects and not dwell on the negative (easier said than done, I know)!! The advice someone gave about the support group is GREAT!! Get "hooked up" with some successful people as soon as possible. And keep posting and let us know how you are doing. We REALLY do care!!! Hugs, Pam
