Dear Kim, Focus on the Lord in a way you have never before. Fix your eyes on the joy of salvation and the promise of redemption and everlasting reward. This world and what it offers will do very little to soothe your heart, but the world that is to come will bring you that peace that passes all undersanding. Reaching that peace is my prayer for you. Praying for your escape, Frances

Kim, It is never easy to let a loved one go...but you will. When the time is right, both you and and your father will accept this and come to terms with his illness and ultimately his death. It will get worse before it gets better and you will always have moments when you think of him and all of your feelings of anger and helplessness will come rushing back. But you will make it thorough all this with the love and support of your family. I met this man once who had Alzheimer's Disease *****lieved his wife's death over and over again as if it was happening at that time. Someone said to him..."She is better off now...at least she is not suffering anymore." He looked at that person and with tears on his face said "It isn't her that is suffering anymore, it is those that are left behind." And how true those words are. I will continue praying for you and your family, esp your father. Listen to Kat and use the hospice crew for what they are there for...helping your father and his family. I hope that your days will get easier for you to bear...and let us know how your father is doing. T--resa
