Surgery Date Postponed!!!

I am getting very frustrated now!! I got medical clernace yesterday and I was waiting on just a few labs to come back to get my exact date - when I get the call! I have an elevated TSH level and they need me to get on Synthroid for the thyroid! What else???? I can not believe it! Has anyone else had this? Help!!!!
