5 months post op
Misty:
I'm only 3 months out, but I, too, have good days and bad days, but mostly good. I'm still learning what I can and cannot eat. I've been cleared to go to regular food, but I really haven't experimented too much. I was just glad to be able to eat beef again and luckily, no problems with that.
Is this your first summer here? It doesn't usually get this hot this early. If I remember correctly (and that is debatable), last year this time we had plenty of rain and nice temps. As for the heat, all I can say is gotta love that a/c.

I am almost 8 months out and I am doing SUPER!! Starting around 6 months I started really getting some energy, and I am going full-steam ahead now!! I can eat "pretty much" anything I want now. I just have to remember to eat slowly and chew well. I don't drink carbonated drinks at all, and I get a burning sensation in my esophagus if I drink Crystal Light or Kool-Aid. (Too much citric acid). I drink a LOT of decaffeinated coffee and chew sugar-free bubble gum quite often. As far as the heat goes, I am not NEARLY as hot as I was a year ago!!! Losing weight has made a huge difference in my body temperature, but I am pretty sure that I will still get hot this summer!!!
