I think the only doc in Louisiana that takes medicaid for this is in New Orleans at Tulane (Dr. Scott)

Nursie Kat, above, is right. The only one I've heard of is Dr. Scott in New Orleans. I'm an angel to one of his patients due for surgery in two weeks. She called everywhere before deciding that he was the only one (in the southern part of the state anyway) doing wls. I don't want to sound, gloomy, but the wait is incredibly long and the process might take a year or two. I know of a lady in Opelousas who has been at it for a year without a date in sight. Please let me know what you find out and if you need any other help. I'm in the Baton Rouge area and I have two angelettes and I volunteer a lot of time to my weight loss support group.
