Just wanted to log on and dip my feet in the water a little this Sunday. Great weather outside, isn't it...makes me want to stay outside all day. Which I have to say I did for most of the day.
Well, it is just one more week til the appointment. Would be lying if I said I wasn't getting a little nervous about now.
Gotta a few questions... why do most of the insurance companies require that you have a consultation with a nutritionist and a psychiatrist before approving or denying wls? The nutritionist I can understand... the psychiatrist is what I am not so sure about. I can see why I would probably need to see one to prepare me for the emotional ups and downs that will follow the wls...but to have my approval or denial based on a visit to the psychiatrist. Hmmm...guess it will come to me...
Well gotta go for now...will log on again tomorrow...Take care everyone! T--resa
The psychiatrist is to evaluate your willingness to follow through with the rigorous WLS aftercare. They are also there to evaluate if you have eating disorders and other mental health issues.
The test they do is not that big a deal, it's more like a personality inventory... not really a test, just a self learning tool

Well, I think we all know that I have some sort of issues with food already.
Thanks, Kat for the feedback!
