OT: Crawfish gene beats Maryland crabs!

Hi Bayou Buddies, This is silly, but I finally know who's genes will win in the seafood war with my husband's D.C.-based family. Saturday, my baby had her first crawfish and she loved it! She's a rather tall 2-year-old and I saw her reach on the counter top for a bag of hot mud bugs. I took one out and showed it to her and said "See, you don't want this, do you?" She insisted, so I pinched and peeled it for her. She spit out the pacificer and popped in the tail. I spent the next 20 minutes trying to keep up with her. At least it's a lean, lean protein. Sorry for the distraction, but it was a tough day and I'm thankful to God for the solace that she provides. She's my snack buddy and protein pal. How cute She should get along well with my very tall 21 mo old daughter, who is also fairly tall for her age (her daddy's 6'2" and I'm 5'7")

We are so looking forward to the crawfish boil, Kat. I didn't realize our babies were so close in age. At 6'2", my husband is the shortest male in his family and I'm 5'5". People look at us so funny when they see our child with diapers and a pacificer, but she's tall, not older and I'm trying not to push her to much to act as old as she looks. I'm getting very excited about meeting you. Please let me know if you need help with preparations or you need us to bring something. Be blessed! Frances

OMG that is totally a cute story! I love it. DId you take pictuers? Kids are so great and I love to hear stories like that. I don't have any children. And at the rate I'm going at I don't think it's going to happen for me. But I get to spoil and give all of my love to my little cousins and friend's children.
