Hi everyone, This is the first time I have posted on this board. I am 6 weeks post op today (Gastric bypass). I am drinking the water not eating much about 4 to 6oz per meal and walking as much as possible, but the pounds are just not going away my clothes are fitting looser and everyone I know has said "oh you look like you have lost quite a bit of weight". The scale is telling me something different NO Pounds gone. I did lose like 20lbs even before I got out of the hospital just nothing since then. Please someone help me figure this out. C. Domingo

Let me start by saying Welcome to the board. I'm MariaDe I can tell you the same thing happen to me when I was only 2 weeks post op I wasn't losing any more weight. It's normal I can assure you. Trust me another or so you are goint to see that scale move again. I'm not sure if you have friend or family members that have the WSL. But everyone loses weight different. My sister was able to dorp all of her weight less then a year. I'm going alittle slow but from what I heard it's a normal rate. SO I'm happy about that. Plus you don't want to lose it too fast or you can get sick. Just do what you are doing and you'll see the lost. Nice to me you :wave Maria

Thank you I'm gonna keep my head up high and just do what I am doing. I guess losing it too quickly would not be a good thing. Nice to meet you too, C. Domingo

Hang in there hon... You're probably just shifting around things... losing inches because you're losing fat, but gaining muscle, which is a GOOD thing... the weight will come off soon, just keep working your program!!
