SORRY I HAVEN'T BEEN ON THE BOARD LATELY, I JUST GOT OUT OF THE HOSPITAL WITH A BAD BATTLE WITH ASTHMA. THE POLLEN FROM THESE OLE PINEY WOODS OUT IN THE COUNTRY DID ME IN. HAD TO GO IN FOR IV STEROIDS, THEN THOSE DROVE MY DIABETES OUT OF CONTROL. SO IF I WASN'T GETTING WOKE UP EVERY HOUR FOR A BREATHING TREATMENT I WAS GETTING POKED WITH SOME SORT OF NEEDLE, INSULIN, TO CHECK MY SUGAR OR STEROIDS. GOT HOME AND WAS SO EXAUSTED FROM JUST BEING IN THE HOSPITAL I HAD TO TAKE A BREAK. BACK ON THE MEND AGAIN, BUT GOOD THING IS MY LUNGS ARE GOING TO BE NICE AND READY FOR SURGERY THE WAY THEY ARE GETTING A WORK OUT RIGHT NOW. HOPE EVERYONE IS DOING WELL AND HAD A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY WEEKEND!!!! HUGS AND LOVE! LORI

Lori, Sorry that you are having so much trouble, but I am glad that they got everything ready so that you can have surgery. The pulmonologist put me on steroids so that I could be ready for surgery also. It is amazing how much better my lungs have been since I am on all the medicines that he gave me. I will see you on the losing side. natalie

HI Lori, I feel your pain! I'm asthmatic too and the pollen has put my butt to rest for a few days as well. Upon onset I went RUNNING in the Dr.'s office fussing with them...told them its the end of the school semester and I've got 3 term papers to write by April 28th that I've yet to start... no time for being sick! haha... The Dr. gave me an injection of steriods right away and put me on lots of preventatives... It still got bad, but not TOO bad. Gonna start on my papers today! hehe. Good luck with your surgery and keeping that asthma at bay! I think this is the WORST time of year for asthmatics in Louisiana (ironically its also my favorite time of year! Asthma bites!). Take care of you, Kimberly from St. Bernard

Hi Lori I know how you feel when it comes to Asthma and Diabetes. I have it pretty darn bad over here too. Happy to say I haven't had an attack in over a month now. As for Diabetes I have type 2, I've been bad and haven't check my blood sugars. Once I notices normal range of numbers I've stop. But I'm going to check it to make sure that it's still under control. Once I had my surgery I stop taking my meds. Well my doctor told me to stop. So I've been doing good now. I hope you feel better soon Maria

THERE IS ONE GOOD THING ABOUT THE WLS, THE WEIGHT COMES OFF FASTER THAN WE PUT IT ON......SO I ALWAYS FEEL GOOD ABOUT THAT. I WOULD STILL BE TRYING TO GET THE WEIGHT OFF IF I HAD NOT HAD THE SURGERY..AND I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN BIGGER I AM SURE. I LOVE YOU......AND I AM ALWAYS HERE IF YOU NEED ME.......SEE YOU TOMORROW NIGHT....I HOPE......TELL EVERYONE HELLO FOR ME AND SEE YALL SOON! ALL MY LOVE AND HUGS KIM
