Energy

I had lap RNY on March 21st. But I'm still waiting for the energy level to kick in. I still tire easily. Today I rode my bike for 20 minutes, first time. I had been managing 10 to 14 minutes. I have arthritis in my knees and riding is much easier than walking. Can anyone tell me if they still feel tired after a week and a half after surgery?

Wow Betty, You are still recovering, give it some time. I am sure that when some of the weight comes off you will feel much better. C. Domingo

Honey you are doing GREAT if you could ride your bike after only a week and a half!!! I am six months out, and my energy levels are JUST NOW getting to what I would consider "normal". Of course, I had NO ENERGY before the surgery at 285 lbs. Just "toting" all that weight around took all the energy I had I suppose!! I am down 83 lbs. now and can actually walk a "distance" without being winded. Slow down and give yourself time to heal!! You've had MAJOR surgery. It sounds to me like you are doing great!! Thanks. I guess I was wishful thinking that I could just bounce up and feel like I could do anything.
