Looking for LA Lap Banders

Hello all!! Just found this state message board and I am tickled to death!!! I am looking for some people in LA to talk with and share ideas and learn from about my lap band. I am 3 wks post op and doing well. I told my doc the other day that I had a theory that all he did was give me incisions and put me on a liquid diet. He said..."it's possible". He was joking of course. If you are close by or even in the state and have had a lapband, let me hear from you. This is GREAT!!! Thanks, Karen

Karen, There are alot of Lap BAnders in Louisiana - best thing you can do is go to the Lap Band forum's message board - I got a lot of information from the messeages posted. I too am 3 weeks post op. Michlle

Hi Karen, I'm 7 months post-op in the Baton Rouge area. I'm happy to hear about your new life with the band and that you have discovered us here on the Louisiana board. I've been very happy with my lap band and lost 70 pounds in the first six months. I've had a few surgeries lately for an unrelated problem and I've edged up about 5 pounds in the last month. I'm unsure if I'm at a plateau or just "sick and tired," but 65 pounds still feels good. I have an online journal (blog) where you can read all about me and my journey. I hope to hear more from you.
