NOLA Luncheon Apr 30?

I'm looking to find out who is interested in joining me for some kind of gathering in New Orleans!??! I thought it would be nice for us to get out, do some walking, some talking, some hugging, and maybe even split a drink Anyone interested? I'm thinking maybe a BBQ or crawfish boil at my house and for those coming from long distances, I do have space for overnighters We could "Do the Zoo" or even the aquarium or some French Quarter shopping!! Maybe around April 30-May1? Then we could put some real faces to the pictures

Hi Nursie! I would love to drive to NOLA for such an undertaking or for future get-togethers. Our support group in Baton Rouge will be walking in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica April 30 at LSU. If anyone wants to make a full weekend of losing buddies, we will be at LSU's track stadium from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. on that Saturday. We should have lots of drinks and healthy snacks to share. I plan to make a plea soon, but there's also still room for more walkers if anyone wants to trot 5 miles to help save premature babies. I've been wanting to meet some folks in New Orleans so I'm interested in what you get planned, Ms. Nurse. Thanks so much for the offer. Frances

I'm glad to hear that Kim And I'm glad to see so many responding... The days are very flexible, I just kinda picked a day on the calendar... If for some reason we need to reschedule, I'm going to keep the following weekend open too. I'm starting a new job and don't know which week will be my "off weekend" yet. Either way it'll be the weekend of May 1 or the weekend of May 8 By the way (because of a history of internet stalkers I try not to use my name - but you guys can call me Kat.

HI KAT, ANY DAY IS GOOD FOR ME EXCEPT APRIL 2ND....I WILL BE IN DALLAS FOR MY SISTERS 25TH WEDDING ANN. I HAVE TO SING, THE SONG I SANG WHEN THEY GOT MARRIED......BUT OTHER THAN THAT I AM GOOD. MY DAD IS DOING WELL, YESTERDAY WAS NOT GOOD SO I HAD TO TALK TO THE NURSES AND DOCTORS, THEY HAD HIM ON SOME ANTI-DEP MEDS THAT MADE HIM LOOPY AND SLEEP ALL DAY.....BUT HE DID EAT FOR ME. SO THEY TOOK HIM OFF THAT!!!! THANK GOD. TODAY HE WAS LOOKING GOOD AND TALKING BETTER, AND ATE VERY WELL FOR ME......I WILL DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO GET HIM BETTER. HE LOVES MY HOME MADE LEMON ICE BOX PIES, SO I MADE HIM ONE AND HE IS EATING IT.....I WILL MAKE 100 IF I HAVE TOO!!!!! HI Kat, That sounds like a wonderful day to plan. I am in Morgan City and a friend of mine who has also had the surgery, formed a Support Group here and I'll pass this idea along to them also. Kat, That sounds great. I would love to attend. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you get this off the ground. My twins will be turning 10 that weekend so I will have to work around that. But, I'm sure it will all be fine. We may be going to Talladega for Nascar that weekend but I'm not really that interested in going as much as my fiance' is. Rhonda
