New Here - full of questions. (Question to Rhonda too)
Hi, I'm a nurse interested in more information on WLS and the patient side info. Yeah, I have a medical background so I get the concept of the procedures, I want to know what it's like to live it, how to go through the process (with insurance issues) and whatever you would have liked someone to tell you when you FIRST started??
(This section for Rhonda)
I noticed in your blog that you had previously done water aerobics and were looking to return to it... I'm curious where in the area you do it, and if you're looking for a workout buddy, I'm definitely in the market for one. I'm in Harahan until I can find a nice little house to rent in Metarie.
(This section for everyone)
I just started reading up on things, thinking about going to see my PCP about the constant back pain and start a physician supervised WLplan... trying to "get the ball rolling" as it were.
I'm soon to be switching Ins companies though, and I'm debating waiting until after the switch to start it... less problems with "pre-existing" I think... anyone have an opinion on that? Problem is as a nurse, I can pick and choose my jobs as I like... (I'm on short term contracts that can be extended or moved easily)... so which company do you ladies think I have a better chance with? Aetna or Great West?
Hi RN,
Glad to see you. I live in Metairie right by Chapelle High School. The water aerobics classes that I (am suppose to) attend are at Cureton's Sports Club just off of David Drive (on Vegas). There is a Cureton's in Old Metairie but I haven't been to that one since this is five minutes from my house. I would love a "workout buddy". I truly need to be held accountable. My schedule is very hectic with 4 kids but I know with some "gentle pushing" I can get into the swing of things.
I will email you with my phone number if you want to call me.
Rhonda
