Just got back from Shreveport. Had pre-op and ready to go for next Thursday at 5:30, boy that's early. I'll have to leave home at 2:30. I am excited to start my new life. When people hear you are having this surgery they want to feed you. I don't know why people think they have to feed you before the surgery. It's like you will never be able to eat again. Got my birthday on Friday will be 64. My son retires from the Air Force on my birthday, ceremony at Fort Polk. What an honor for me. After getting bumped the day before my surgery in Nov. I didn't think it would ever get here. It has been a long four months. Reading this board gives me so much inspiration and everyone is so nice. Thank you for your messages of encouragement. Bobbie J.

Congratulations on your impending surgery! I know that you will be so happy after it is all over. Are they going to do it Lap or open? That will make a difference in your healing time. As the others said, just take it one day at a time and be patient with yourself!! This is not a "miracle fix" but offers so much more hope than "standard" diets!! Let us know how you are, and we will alllll be "rooting" for you!!! Best Wishes, Pam
