Protein Shakes

Can anyone tell me what are the best Protein Shakes and where can you get them at in the Lafayette area?

The one I like the best is Labrada's ProPlete Gold. I tried the banana flavor and really liked it. I also liked Champion Nutrition's Pure Whey. I also tried the banana flavor in it. I did not like the chocolate flavor as well, so I added Hershey's cocoa powder to the banana and vanilla flavors. I also tried the Nectar drinks and liked them OK. I just don't really care for the "fruity" drinks. EVERYONE is soooooo different though, I recommend you trying several samples until you find one that you are really happy with. Any health-food store in the area and most "drug stores" (Rite-Aid) carry the protein drinks. My nutritionist told us to be SURE and get the whey isolate formulas. Both of the above mentioned brands are whey isolate. If you want to order off of the web, Vitalady (advertised on this OH website) and Bariatrix (also advertised here) have sample products they will send you. I also just found a flavor that I liked and bought it from E-Bay. It is NOT cheap, but if you find one you really like, it will be worth whatever you have to pay for it!! Best wishes!! Pam

I also read from some other poster that Smoothie King sells it's Vanilla Protien Powder (not the name brand) and those are good... Can't wait till that's my concern... I do guess I could taste them now, but I bet tastes change after the surgery, right?
