How to get on Medicaid????????

Anyone with any advice on how to get on medicaid. I live in Alexandria LA. I am 22 i weight 378. I am 5'4. I dont have enough money go to doctors to find a bunch of dieases but i know i need medical treatment. Not going on a pitty trip. Linda,it took me many years to accually get the medicaid,I tryed since 96 and just got it in 2004,so its not easy. they have alot of loop holes. do you work?do u have diabetis,sleep apnea?you haqve to have a major medical problem,not just be obease,but you must have illnesses also,if you think u have illnesses then go to thalexandra charity hospitals walkin clinic,see a primary care doctor,u proly should go there early on a weekday ,and go into the er and ask where the walkin clinic is,they will help you ,let the dr start documenting your bad health,if you have documented stuff then you can apply for help ,and maybe get it ,there should be social workers there to assist you in getting medicaid. I will warn you again that its not easy to get.
