Can anyone recommend a plastic surgeon for a breast lift in the Mandeville area? I do not need an augmentation but more of a reconstruction. LIFT is a good word. LOL I can travel to New Orleans as well. Only one plastic surgeon in my area is on my insurance plan. I do not know if insurance will cover it though and I want more than one option and consultation! Thanks for the help! ~Vanessa 252/237/177/145?

Vanessa, I don't know if you attend the supprt group meetings on the North Shore for Dr. Lavin's group but I do know that they plan on having a plastic surgeon speaker for the south shore meeting in March. It may be worth checking out since they will probably discuss a lot of things regarding PS after WLS (insurance, TT vs. abdominoplasty, etc.). I think the North Shore meetings run the same schedule. Good luck in your search. I'm getting to the point of considering PS myself. So, I will definitely check out the March support meeting for Surgical Specialists of LA. Rhonda 225/135/110

Thank you for responding, Rhonda. Please forgive my delay in answering. I will have to check with the Northshore Support Group meeting for their March topic. The subject for this month is currently not listed. I did find out that the only PS in my area that is in my insurance network is Dr. Celentano. I don't know a thing about him but made the consultation anyway. I'd like to have the procedure done around early August and I'll need 45-60 days for insurance approval. I figured that I might as well go in and talk to him and see if they think I can get it covered. I've had back problems FOREVER from these things and now I have so much additional skin already that it's causing more problems. Covered or not, something has to be done! Thank God my husband understands that it is important to me and says he'll pay for it if it's not covered. My insurance company says it must be "reconstructive" surgery to be covered. I think I have that aspect covered. This is a situation that may require a complete tear down and rebuild. LOL Thanks again and good luck to your in your search. I'd love to hear how things go for you! Blessings! ~Vanessa 252/237/175/145?
