I have been growing tired of my present employer, so I have been looking for a new kob and have started getting some call backs.I have been at me present job for 11 years and I am looking for a change.I currently manage a 24/7 resturant.Started when I was sixteen and now at twenty-eight and three kids and a husband later I want a change. The problem is if I change jobs I do not have take off time but if I stay at my present I do.Plus my insurance has an exclusion to wls. But my husband has HumanaOne ChoiceCare PPo that he got after we had seperated for a while and I dropped him off my policy. He purchased insurance due to his job not offering insurance.Once we got back together he added me and the kids. From what I see they pay for the surgery but only if you are Mo.So I guess what I am saying if I deciede to have the surgery and get approved what is the likely hood of a job I do not have a lot of time on give me time off to have the surgery or would it just be best I stay put til after the surgery.Any help or ideas appreciated..Teesha

Hi Teesha, I think you stand a good chance of finding another job because of your restaurant management experience. If you find another job with benefits and sick time, this surgery would be considered sick time and if would not matter if were for wls or anything else. What would really be cool would be if you could time wls between jobs since your husband's insurance is most likely going to cover it. Remember MO definitions are quite far reaching and you said before that you thought you fell into that category. The best possible situation would be to be able to take time from you current job and go right into a new one after you have recouperated. I've been in the hospital and had surgery twice this week. My former employer's insurance company dropped my benefits mid-week, so I will be joining you in the search for a new job. I'm writing this from my hospital bed and I'm all still connection to pumps and wires and gadgets, but I hope to go home in the morning (Saturday) and maybe we can talk again soon. I will keep my eyes open for you as I search for positions for myself. Take care, Frances
