OMG---got a date!!!

I know that ya'll have heard this time after time.I called my surgeon's office to see if they had finally received a letter of clearance for surgery from my PCP,and Kim in the office said "Oh,we can go ahead and schedule your surgery date and pre-op visit now." So the surgery date is next Tuesday Feb.22. NOW I'M NERVOUS,SCARED,WONDERING IF THIS IS REALLY WANT I WANT OR NEED TO DO. Can anybody say "STOP THE WORLD AND LET ME OFF!!" I just thought I would have a little more time to adjust to the upcoming surgery is all.

Congratulations on the date. Just focus on the positive............say calmly to yourself over and over..... "On the losing side soon.... on the losing side soon.." Smile between each time. Soon you will feel better.

Woooo Hoooo!! Hallelujah, Praise the Lord!! I am so excited for you. I personally think it is better if you don't have to wait so long!! The waiting is the torturous part. Just take some deep breaths and pray!! I personally think that you are doing the right thing by having the surgery, but then I did not have ANY complications so it is easy for me to say!!! I'm having it done at Shumpert Medical Center and Dr. Merriman is my surgeon.
