Good morning everyone!!!!!!
HI everyone, I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.
I notice that only a few people post on here, come on don't be shy, everyone here was in or is in the same postion... WE WANT TO LOSE!!!!
any suggestions, comments, favorite things to do.. mine is to stay on my computer and read, re-read and read again the profiles of people that have had the surgery, going to have the surgery and all the trials and tribulations of insurance companies.
lets get to chatting and getting to know each other, don't be shy people!!!!!!!!!!
hugs to all,

It is usually a slow board but there are some nice people here. I think most of them are "lurkers". I read your profile. You know when things start falling into place it really gets exciting. Your surgery will be here before you know it. I have 3 kids too (8, 6, and 3 1/2). They are the greatest and honest! You know kids. I never knew how much the extra weight I carried around could interfere with me and my kids. I now feel like playing outside with them, shopping with and for them and just all around being "Mom"!
Good luck to ya! I hope you are a BIG LOSER before too long!

Hi Lori,
welcome to the board, I've been toggling between the LA and the MS board, being a resident of Louisiana but currently in Mississippi b/c of hubby's job. I'm addicted to this website as well, I think a lot of us are, even post-op we still come here to share, the good stories, the helpful things we can share, things we find in a store that others can use, it's a great place for feedback and info.
I myself am 7 months post op with a total loss so far of 113 ( 84 after surgery/29 before) and I can only confirm, life has gotten SO much better. I can do anything I want to, just about, I take the kids out to the playground, we do the whole volleyball thing now, I love walking my dog I just got for my anniversary, it's something the whole family does together when we 're off on weekends. Also, going to the mall , window shopping with my 15 and 11 yr old is quite enjoyable. It gets me walking and they can show me all the things they want
Hope everyone had a great weekend, I know I did

Hi Lori,
I have to admit I don't come to this board too much because the posts are soooo few! I hope things will pick up now!
I am hoping to get the surgery as I have appealed the insurance company's first decision! I started this journey in October so this has not been a easy road but I won't give up easily!
I want to become healthy!
I love to read all the advice from all of you who have been down the road before. And love to see before and after pictures!

I agree hun, I wish the board would have more postings. I have 5 children total, 3 are mine 14, 6, and 4.... two are my step sons. I find myself when I cannot sleep at night reading the boards and looking at profiles. I got some pretty good news today from Dr. Merriman's office, I got to see the criteria for our insurance and so far so good, I have to stop smoking which as bad as I want this surgery it is been going ok, I have had 2 cigarettes since I found out, and I felt really guilty about those two. My hubby has got to start going outside to smoke, he is not thrilled about it, but is the only way I can do this succesfully.
lots of hugs n stuff hun
