Do you know if Medicaid in LA will cover WLS if medically necessary?My sister is on disability due to her weight.She's about 270# and 4'10".She also has Diabetes,HTN,OA.Just wondering if it would be worth the effort to try to get her approved for surgery?
They will cover, but good luck finding a hospital or doctor that will accept it. You would thing that LSU would have some kind of program for Medicaid folks! I don't know why they don't. Wish I could have better news for you.
