went to my nutritionist consult today. Was ok,really prety informative.Had to back out of taking another job as it loks like surgery is gonna be a go. Still get believe that one.Man is this rollercoaster ride crazy. You focus so much on getting approval and when you finally do then reality sets in.As you can tell I'm a little apprehensive---not changing my mind, mind you---just a little nervous. Don't have a date yet, waiting to do psych eval(like I need someone to tell me I'm crazy)Well also finally after 8 months I told my husband what I've been up to.Can't believe I kept that a secret for so long!!! Well that's the update here.Anybody else got anything new to say!!

WTG Leslie, I haven't gotten my nutrionist consult appointment yet, but did receive my Gallbladder ultrasound and pysch eval appointments today... can't believe I have to wait soooooo long for my pysch eval . But gallbladder ultrasound will be on Monday. What surgeon are you using? I am using Dr. Merriman. Weird thing is my mother is a registered dietican, lol. GO FIGURE. hope to see ALOT more postings on this board soon!!!!

If you think you're crazy, you are apparently not. I think I'm sane except for my shy, inhibited nature and my inability to hold long written conversations. Or is that Keeping South Louisiana buffet lines safe for 5 months. Frances

I kept it a secret from my hubby until I had done all my research. Of course, my sister knew all about it! Anyway, he was very scared at first. I just put it to him this way...you quitting smoking is like me quitting eating! He went to the consultation with the surgeon and got all of his questions answered. He was very supportive and understood why I wanted this. He now is loving it just about as much as I am. I love to shop now and not just for "everyday" clothes. I like the sexy stuff now too. It has been a hell of a ride!! It has it's days when it is all down hill and then there are days where it is smooth sailing. I very seldom get that dumping feeling or something getting "stuck". I eat like a normal person eats with the exception of rice, pasta or potatoes. I try to limit them. I tell you this much...I would do the surgery again if the doctor had to come to my house and cut me open with a butter knife!!!! Nice chatting with ya! Rhonda 225/145/130
