Hello everyone, First let me say thanks to those of you that responded to my post. I am a bit of a nervous nellie over this whole thing...but I'm sure I'm not the only one who was scared to death! I went to see my primary care physician today and she totally agreed that surgery was a very good option for me. I have been on meds since before age 30...and am now on high blood pressure meds, high cholesterol meds and have a terrible family history. She said I am also over the 40 BMI, so I should have no problem qualifying for surgery. She is writing me a letter and I should have it by next week. I was so worrried she wouldn't agree. Pretty funny! When I tell most people I am having surgery, they say "Oh, gastric bypass?" I guess when people can look at you and guess wls....not gallbladder, etc. That alone is a sign! "Who...you? having surgery...must be WLS for your big fat ....ok....butt! " lol Glad I have a sense of humor or I would be offended. I will keep everyone posted. My first meeting with my surgeon is 2/2. Frances, I think we would get along just fine! Thanks again.... I appreciate the support! Crystal

Crystal -- Beware, I'm an aggressive nut case who went decades without noticing I might have a weight problem. Well, I do, but I love life and I love the Lord who gave it to me. I got diabetes, a tricky gall bladder and high blood pressure -- so, what are they saying, is that bad??? I truly believe laughter and Louisiana cooking (yes, it can be good for you) are among the keys to wellness and happiness. Crystal-from-Florida: This is your lucky year!!! LOL Can't wait to meet you. Onward, Frances
