Hello everyone, I am new here and trying to find a surgeon in the Baton Rouge area. I think I have settled on Dr. Drake Belanger. If anyone here has used him, could you please let my know if you were pleased with the outcome. I have heard good things about him and Vista hospital, but just want to be sure I have the best surgeon around! This is so scary for me....I just want to be sure. Thanks for any advice you can give! Hi Crystal and welcome to this board. When I started my search, Dr. Belanger was a partner in MISI, the group in I chose. He went independent shortly afterwards. I did see him in the hall way on my way out at Vista (he's cool and a real cute). Now, of course, you know everyone says their surgeon is the best. I feel that way also. My surgeon is a pioneer in the field of laproscopic surgical techniques and was the more experienced of the MISI group. He's also a hernia repair specialist and luckily for me that he was because I had a hernia go bad when I was six weeks out. His name is Karl Leblanc. I'm sorry if that sounded, well "typical." I think it's a win-win situation in Baton Rouge because the competition is tough. Please let me know if you ever need anything while in Baton Rouge. I absolutely loved my experience at Vista.
